Monthly Talk

Group Number:2.58
Place: United Reformed Church - Cedar Hall
Day: Last Thursday of the Month
Time: 10.15 am
Cost: £3.00

Definitive meeting times for the current month are shown in the Monthly Calendar.

The Monthly Talk takes place on the last Thursday of every month, with the exceptions of August and December when there is no talk.

u3a members or, more usually, a guest speaker are invited to present a talk of general interest, usually lasting between an hour and an hour and a half, with time afterwards for any questions and answers.

Speakers are usually booked at least a year in advance and the subjects vary between serious and humorous, whilst some are a humorous take on a serious subject. All, hopefully, are interesting!

We break for tea/coffee (cost £1.00, payable directly to the café please, and not included in the admission price) at around 11.00am for about 20 minutes, then continue until 12.00 noon.

Recommendations from members who have attended talks at various other venues have proved to be a good way to source quality speakers. If anyone would like to suggest individuals for the monthly talk from first-hand knowledge, please use the contact form below.

Monthly Talks are open to everyone in Sutton Coldfield u3a; you do not need to be a member of any other group to attend.
