Apart from Interest Group meetings, a variety of other events are held throughout the year. This includes Study days and specialised Workshops in conjunction with the National u3a, Outings to places of interest, and any special Christmas activities.
Some external visits are linked to specific interest groups, for example:
Royal Shakespeare Company, Stratford to attend a Shakespeare Play.
Special Garden visits organised by the Garden Interest Group.
Visits by Crafts Group to craft exhibitions, museums etc.
Travel, Food and Wine Group visit Food Fairs, Food/Wine preparation locations.
History of Art Group visit Art Galleries, Exhibitions.
The Out & About Group arrange a wide variety of external activities.
In all cases the members of a specific interest group are offered places first, then any spare tickets or seats on a coach are made available to other Sutton Coldfield u3a members who may wish to attend.
As arrangements for a specific outing are finalised, details will appear in our monthly calendar and on the appropriate Group Page.
