Literature

Group Number:1.55
Place: United Reformed Church
Day: 4th Wednesday of the month
Time: 2.15 pm
Cost:£2.00

Definitive meeting times for the current month are shown in the Monthly Calendar.

Each month we read a chosen novel. When we meet volunteers from the group encourage us to discuss the implications of the novel's background, the period in which it is set, characters, storyline and possibly the life and work of the author.

Choices range from early to modern classics. We also explore the new writers whose titles have appeared in well-known Book Lists or who are winners of major book prizes. The choices this year were chosen by the group, see the book list under the links section.

Our discussions are lively and raise many issues relating to the human condition.

We currently have a waiting list, please fill in the form below to put your name down if you are interested in joining us.
